CALL FOR RESIDENT PERFORMING ARTISTS
Back for another year, The MAAS Building and Threshold Collective are offering two Artist Residencies between January and March 2025. We hope to enable, support and elevate creators by encouraging imagination, innovation and connection during the colder months.
THE RESIDENCIES:
WHO MAY APPLY:
This year, we’re taking applications from performing artists based in Philly - and beyond. Creators from across the US are welcome! We encourage submissions from any and everyone, and give special consideration to proposals from marginalized communities, people of color, women, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ people.

THE RESIDENCIES:
Both residents will have three weeks’ access to the MAAS Upstairs Event Space to use as rehearsal/creation space, as well as an onsite home in the MAAS Cottage. You may book this Upstairs space as often as you like in accordance with our prior commitments - and at the culmination of the residency, the MAAS Team will support you in hosting a public event to share the work you have created.
THE THRESHOLD RESIDENCY: For a second year, we are collaborating with The Threshold Collective in seeking to fill one of our residencies with an artist or group creating work centered on the themes of loss, grief, death and dying.

Size: 1300 SF (roughly 36' x 35')
Theatrical lighting and pa system included
Ceiling Height: 15' - 9' (Sloped ceiling)
NOTE: The Space is accessed by one flight of stairs. We unfortunately do not have another means of access to accommodate differently abled people.
