Somewhere Between God & Mammy is an exploration of the intersections of Black girlhood into womanhood while pushing the binary. Writing the soul's journey behind finding God in yourself, mothering yourself, and savagely healing yourself. 

Through a Winter Artist Residency with the Maas Building and in collaboration with movement artist, Mia Rocchio, Sabriaya Shipley presents the next installment of the journey of Somewhere Between God & Mammy through an ethnographic short film.
